The Rev. David Slagle Peck (He/Him) – Pastor
Pastor Dave has served as pastor of Epiphany since 2014. He also chairs the worship team for the Metropolitan Washington, DC Synod. He is married with two daughters, a dog, and a small flock of urban chickens. His family lives in Silver Spring, MD.
Pastor Dave was born in Rockford, IL and spent his early years in Colorado before moving back to the Midwest. He was baptized and confirmed at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church in Racine, WI, where his parents still reside. While attending the University of Minnesota, he became involved in Lutheran Campus Ministry. Through LCM, he had the opportunity to participate in regional and national events, and travel to Tanzania with a small group to begin a relationship with Tumaini University in Iringa. After graduation, he worked at an environmental organization in Seattle, WA through Lutheran Volunteer Corps.
He attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, spending a year studying in Washington, DC through the ecumenical Washington Consortium and interned outside of Sioux Falls, SD.

Judy Finley – Office Manager
Judy and her husband Al have a blended family with Judy’s 2 daughters and Al’s 2 daughters and 2 sons. Between them they have 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She and Al live in Laurel, MD with their 4-year-old beagle Lucy.
Judy was born in Adrian, MI and for 9 years was a medical transcriptionist at the local hospital. Upon moving to Maryland in 1986 she worked at Penske Truck Leasing as a clerk, working her way to District Financial Manager prior to retiring after 37 years in 2023.
Judy has been a member of Epiphany since 2006. She has sung in the choir, has participated in bible studies, served on church council and enjoys making goodies with Al for fellowship after church several times a year. She enjoys road trips, reading, crocheting, writing, playing board and card games with grandkids and time spent at the ocean.

Darren Shillingford – Musician
Darren is a graduate of Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in music education. He has taught in Miami, Trinidad and the DMV area. Currently, he is pursuing a masters degree in music education at the University of Maryland, College Park. Additionally, he works with the Children’s Chorus of Washington as the collaborative pianist for the Treble ensemble as well as assists in the design and coordination their musicianship curriculum.
